Getting to the New Parliament House
The Divine Legacy event at the New Parliament House is scheduled for a 6pm start. Please note given the security checks, checkins and the large audience, we advise people to start arriving by 4.30pm onwards. Water will be available during event and some tea/coffee with light refreshments will be available later in the evening in Sha Allah (no dinner).
If you’re planning to drive, there are several parking options around Parliament House. The main car park is located underneath Parliament House with a limited number of spaces available for visitors. In addition, there are a few nearby parking lots:
1. Parliament House Car Park (entrance via Parliament Drive)
2. Kingston Foreshore Car Park (approx. 10-minute walk)
3. The Hyatt Hotel Car Park (approx. 10-minute walk)
4. National Museum of Australia Car Park (approx. 15-minute walk)
Please note that parking can fill up quickly especially on a sitting day of the parliament, so arriving early is recommended.
Alternative travel options are using RideShare Cars / Taxi or ACTION Buses (57 and 58 from City Bus Interchange).
*** We recommend planning your journey ahead of time, as parking and transportation around the site may be busier than usual.
