Dr. Ahmed Neinaa

Mustafa Cerić is a distinguished Bosnian imam who served as the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1993 to 2012. Born on February 5, 1952, Cerić graduated from the Gazi Husrev-beg Madrasa and studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

He earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of Chicago while serving as an Imam in the United States. Cerić played a significant role in promoting Islam as a key element of Bosniak nationalism. He was a founder of the Bosniak Academy of Sciences and Arts and is the current president of the World Bosniak Congress.
He has received numerous awards for his contributions to interfaith dialogue and peace.
